Recently, I had the delight of traveling to Glidden, Iowa, to visit J and J Quarter Horses. June and Jim, the owners, were incredibly easygoing and a joy to meet. We spent time discussing their horses, business goals, and how they can better serve their clients and the equine industry.

Founded in 2017, J and J Quarter Horses is a breeding program that is continually growing. Their mission is clear: to breed and raise exceptional horses with sound minds, trainability, excellent bone structure, and superior conformation. They aim to produce versatile horses that excel both as reliable working partners on the ranch and as competitive athletes in all aspects of roping and other equine sports.

June proudly shared that their weanlings and yearlings have found homes in 19 different states, including Florida, Washington, and even Alberta, Canada. With such a rich background in the equine industry, it was fascinating to learn about their journey and what drives them.

During my visit, I had the opportunity to photograph and video some of their future prospects listed below. It was a true privilege to meet such passionate individuals and capture the essence of their remarkable horses. J and J Quarter Horses is truly a gem in the equine community, and I look forward to seeing their continued success.
